New Record Labels designs: VERVE and VANGUARD

We want to show you two of our latest T-shirt designs about classic Record Labels: VERVE and VANGUARD Records.

Verve Records founded in 1956 by Norman Granz, is home to the world’s largest jazz catalogue and includes recordings by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Stan Getz and Billie Holiday, among others. Verve also served as the original home of acts such as The Velvet Underground and Frank Zappa. This company is also home to historic imprints including Verve Forecast Records, Impulse! Records and Decca Records.

Vanguard Records was an American record label set up in 1950 by brothers Maynard and Seymour Solomon in New York City. It started as a classical label, but is perhaps best known for its catalogue of recordings by a number of pivotal jazz, folk, and blues musicians as Joan Baez, Hedy West, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Country Joe and the Fish, Ian and Sylvia, Mimi Fariña and Richard Fariña.
